National E-hailing Drivers Union (NEDU) – Online Membership Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction By submitting this membership application form, you (“the Member”) agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions of the National E-hailing Drivers Union (NEDU).

2. EligibilityMembership is open to all e-hailing drivers operating legally within South Africa. Applicants must be 18 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license and Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).

3. Membership FeeMembership is currently free of charge. NEDU reserves the right to introduce or revise membership fees in the future, in which case all members will be notified in advance and given an option to continue or withdraw.

4. Member ObligationsBy joining NEDU, members agree to:

Abide by the Union’s Constitution and Code of Conduct.

Keep their contact and vehicle information up to date.

Participate in union activities where possible.

Refrain from any actions that may harm the integrity or reputation of the Union.

5. Privacy and Data UseAll personal information provided will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Information will only be used for official NEDU matters and will not be shared with third parties without the member’s explicit consent.

6. CommunicationMembers consent to being contacted by NEDU via SMS, email, phone, or messaging platforms regarding union-related information such as updates, campaigns, and meetings.

7. Termination of MembershipMembership may be terminated by the member at any time via written notice. NEDU also reserves the right to suspend or expel any member who:

Violates these Terms and Conditions

Engages in misconduct or unlawful activities

Acts in a way that undermines the Union’s mission

8. AmendmentsNEDU may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any changes via the official communication channels.

9. Dispute ResolutionAny disputes related to these terms shall be addressed through NEDU’s internal processes. If unresolved, the matter may be referred to an independent mediator or relevant authority.

10. DeclarationI hereby declare that the information provided in this application is true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I have read, understood, and agree to abide by the above Terms and Conditions of the National E-hailing Drivers Union (NEDU). I understand that my membership is subject to approval and may be terminated in accordance with these terms.
